A SHARED NIGHTMARE

In 2002-3, my cousin was having horrible nightmares that left him very weak on a daily basis. Every night a Spanish looking man in strange outfit with a black hat would torment him. This restlessness went nearly a month. One night, my mother went to sleep and woke up in an unfamiliar place. She was standing in the backyard of a large house. The sky was red and dark. She realize that this place was in the dream realm and entered the home. The home was that of a living hell for some of its' occupants. There were women being raped and men being tortured by dozens of evil looking men. She walked though this hell unnoticed. She was invisible to them and exited through the front door.
The scene in the front yard was even worse than the inside. There was an unholy altar with several men surrounding the high priest, it was the man with the black hat. They were feeding bonded men to huge demonic snakes. Then suddenly the priest turned around and looked directly at her. He screamed at her. “Who are you?" "How did you get here?" "This is my world?" Then, he summoned one of the snakes and ordered it to attack her. It lunged at her and she sidestep it quickly. Suddenly, she felt weight in her left hand and look at it. A large shining silver sword had appeared in her palm. She slashed at the snake and severed it in half. The other snake and now the other men fled and disappeared. They where able to see her now. The priest materialized an ax into his hands and swung at her. At that moment, she felt a force possess her body and countered his attack. She decapitated her foe with ease. His body fell to the ground lifeless but his head sputtered bewilderment and curses. His world began to unravel to a normal landscape. A large church appeared and its occupants exited it to view the scene in amazement. They too realize they were dreaming. She ordered the priest of the church to exorcise this evil. He threw holy water on the still speaking head. It busted into flames and vanished. She woke up right after that and my cousin's nightmares stopped I believe. A possible factor to their linking is that they share the same birthday. And I wonder if somebody was found with a missing head around the same time?
